Occupational therapy is a client-centred heath profession with a holistic approach. We focus on optimising well-being, problem solving and teaching skills to enable clients to thrive and participate in activities that are meaningful to them. I qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1998 and spent eight years in private practice, where I conducted ACC assessments (including social, vocational, housing modifications and equipment), worksite assessments, return-to-work and return to school programs, and corporate training courses on healthy work practices. Later, I took a career pause to focus on parenting. During this time, through personal experience, volunteer work and continuing education, I expanded my expertise in executive function coaching, gifted learning programs, pre-academic skill development, autism, ADHD, food allergies and life coaching. This journey highlighted the need for occupational therapy coaching services to support parents and their children.
I'm passionate about supporting parents in finding solutions to the everyday challenges that come with parenting, fostering stronger connections and communication with their children. By focusing on what's meaningful to each family, I aim to empower both parents and children to thrive together.
I integrate my expertise in occupational therapy, coaching, and firsthand parenting insights with the latest evidence-based information to offer practical strategies. These strategies help parents navigate challenges, support their own well-being, and empower them with skills to help their children thrive at home, at school and in relationships.
Parenting is an ongoing journey of learning and growing, it would be my privilege to support you on your journey.
Responding to popular demand, I have expanded my services to provide academic and ADHD coaching services tailored to tweens, teens and young adults.
I have also launched group presentations for parents in schools, focusing on the importance of play, positive parenting techniques, and effective study strategies.
